Not here at the moment.#
Probably gone hillward…#
You could think of us as a human, but we feel are often just LARPing a human being within a 21st century Western society.
With all the slightly cringe worthy tells. Slightly off intonation and phrasing. Costume that’s trying just a bit too hard. Only able to operate within the strict parameters of the designated scenario. Not sure if it’s a step up from feeling like a badly written AI, or just different.
Some days we do feel all too much like The Dixie Flatline, unable to ever evolve.
Weirdly, three times we have mapped our consciousness to compare against images of AI systems. The said McCoy, Eunice the laminar in Agency and because someone compared our writing to Poe, the AI hotel in Altered Carbon.
But that’s just me fronting as our Analyst, for an inkling into the rest of us, see the About.
Bizarrely, the topic of Christmas and adverts came up just now. Apparently the business class in the local academy are focussed on this at the moment. At the start of September 🤷
Which reminds of one of our favourite tracks:
War on Christmas by Epic Beard Men But also what we wrote last year:
Some of us do not like Christmas.
It’s not to spoil it for others.
It is hard for us....
While we have not yet finished it in it’s entirety, we have been reading Shon Faye’s book The Transgender Issue1. We can say it’s worth a read in our opinion,
However, it was the first few pages that really hit home. They articulated so well, why we have said from some time, that since we left teaching we would not return to working with young people again in the future. Teaching or any other role....
Our initial attempt to describe our understanding of switching Some of this language feels odd, as we have switched structures since, using we primarily to describe ourselves, and only dropping to singular I when needed to illustrate that it is just one of use we are referring to. It’s a little fluid still, and confusion verbally can occur especially when we have to distinguish between we as in the group of people we are referring to externally and We as our internal group....
It’s, as we write this, one of those days. Busy. In a busy week. There a few interactions planned today, unavoidable…
Which reminds us that we need to get some time for our artist1. Partly, because we lack “balance” if we do not all get time. Partly because it’s a piece based on our phrase “too many eyeballs”.
As in, we are exhausted physically/mentally/emotionally because there are too many damn eyeballs observing us....
Almost a year ago, we wrote this As poor as words are to convey meaning and intent sometimes, at least by not mixing mediums we hope to not further muddy the waters.
Writing coherently might be interesting as there is more than one voice to be respected here, how we participate in the process is likely to change. We are a dysfunctional tribe at the moment. There are waves of emotion sweeping through and swirling everything into new patterns each time....
